I bought this pillow a little over a month ago. I have had a constant pain in my shoulder/neck since I started on it. Thought maybe it was because I had been sleeping on a bad pillow before the Tempur-Pedic product and it would get better. It did not get better, it got worse. I emailed the company and explained and they pretty much said the item was unreturnable and there was no trail period. I spent over $100.00 for something that causes me pain and suffering and the company will do nothing. Make sure you like before you buy, because the company will not stand by thier product!! The pillow is terrible!!
I tried out three Tempurpillows from Bed, Bath and Beyond before finding which one was the perfect fit for me. The Symphony Pillow was my second.
When I tried out the Symphony pillow, I was a little bit disappointed. I thought I'd have this 'Ahhhh' feeling. But, no luck. I am a back sleeper, so for me, it was too hard and had the feeling of looking at my toes. My fiance, however, thought it was the best money we've ever spent and decided to keep his. After one night I returned it to get the TempurCloud.
Tl;Dr: The Symphony is great for side sleepers, but for back sleepers, it is way too firm.
I went to a local mattress store to purchase new Tempur-pedic pillows. I was told that the standard Symphony pillows were the only pillows available, all others were discontinued. Despite my concerns over the small size, I purchased two for our king-sized bed. These pillows were a disappointment and are not as comfortable as any of the other Tempur-pedic pillows I've purchased over the years. The store would not accept a return and I was quite shocked to find the selection of pillows available on tempurpedic.com. I feel our loyalty to Tempur-pedic was taken advantage of on this purchase.
I have used this Symphony pillow for several months now. At first it was a bit on the hard side, but then after a while I thought I had gotten used to it. However, after several months my neck is now starting to hurt and my sleep is not very restful due to neck and shoulder pain. I think that the firmness of this particular pillow is a bit much for me and I will be looking at their Traditional pillow to replace this one. A shame because these pillows are not cheap. I do believe the Tempurpedic non-refundable/no exchange policy is absurd and wish they would change it to be more customer friendly. Most people do not know how something is going to work out until they try it out for a brief period of time.
I have been going through pillow after pillow and couldn't find one that would stand up to my sleep style. I sleep in all three positions depending on my own comfort. I sleep on my back, on my side and on my stomach. This pillow beats any pillow I have ever slept on for just the right firmness, just the right softness, just right everywhere and in anyone of my positions. It is the greatest pillow and I will never go back to a traditional pillow for the rest of my life or as long as tempur-pedic lasts. if you are having a hard time sleeping because of your pillow you have to try one. it is so worth the price, given I went through about 6 pillows which placed that cost almost twice what this pillow costs.
this pillow is way to thick and firm for the avg person that sleeps on their back. however, this would be ideal for the person that has broad shoulders and is a side sleeper. why create a pillow that not only is too thick, but also too firm as well. being a person who has a slender, athletic build, 6'3, 175lbs. i dont have the extra body height, fat or mass, to compromise my body height to make up for the pillow, its like my head is elevated but rest of body isnt, this would probably end up causing a strain somewhere in my shoulders if i continued to reguarly used pillow. please develop a pillow with the slender person in mind next time, we need proper neck and head support as well. thank you for your time.
I have the cloud bed and love it! Cloud pillows: Too thick. Symphony pillows: Too heavy, thick and firm. I tried sleeping with my shoulders on this pillow too and I liked the feel, but as you sleep we never usually stay in same position and caused neck issues. I have an off brand neck pillow and I am thinking about getting the tempur-pedic neck pillow, but scared to spend more money and still not like the pillow. I Love the Cloud Supreme Bed! I just haven't found the right pillow. Do I need the neck or the side sleeper?..........More money.....more decisions.
I have had my pillow about 6 months now. Normally, it would be time to replace my pillow as they usually don't last very long without losing their loft. This pillow is still just as comfortable as it was the first night! I like a pillow that holds its shape yet is not hard. This is it! I have no more neck pain and rest so much better! I have used it for side sleeping and for back sleeping. Love it both ways! Since I switch between the two positions, I appreciate the dual sides. Each works well. I have not for one minute regretted buying this pillow!
