Job Title:
Regional Sales Manager - Great Lakes Region
Job Description:
Summary: Assists the Regional Sales Vice President with sales activities within a defined region by performing the following duties personally, or through the sales and training team.
Essential Duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties and projects may be assigned.
Is responsible for achieving the sales goals & other performance metrics established for his/her region by the RVP
At the direction of the RVP, plans, controls and directs activities of the sales team in his/her region to attain maximum sales volumes
Provides on-going sales feedback & skills training to the sales representatives
Provides RVP with information used to evaluate additional sales opportunities
Responsible for talent management within team
Regularly analyzes sales statistics and reports on trends
Delivers sales presentations to key customers in coordination with sales representatives.
Meets with key customers, assisting sales reps with maintaining positive customer relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
Acts as a liaison between the regional sales team and the RVP.
Coordinates administrative activities with home office staff
Prepares periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
Regularly monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition and advises the RVP.
Coordinates Training activities in the region as required
Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervises the Retail Sales Team in the region. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with TPI policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding, disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Experience & Other Requirements:
Experience and Education
Three to Five years sales management and/or sales leadership experience with a career emphasis on premium consumer durables. Management experience is required.
Demonstrated track record of building and maintaining outstanding customer relationships
Able to expand customer base and increase territory sales (dollars, doors & slots)
Bachelor’s degree (BA, or BS) from four-year college or university is required.
