POSITION SUMMARY

The Program Manager will be responsible for coordination of cross-functional teams from R&D, Marketing, Sourcing, Engineering, Manufacturing and Supply Chain focused on the development, commercialization of our core products. This person will also be responsible for the coordination of cross-functional teams from Operations for major process and capability improvement projects. The individual will manage the stage gate process and insure all areas are in alignment with key stage gate exit and entry points.

Essential Duties:

DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS

The individual will insure all key criteria are met prior to exit and entry and the business cases are vetted appropriately throughout the organization. In addition, the Program Manager will manage the overall timelines associated with Product Planning, Technology Planning and the budget process.

•Ability to work effectively within a Matrix organization
•Able to work in a team atmosphere with little supervision and establish excellent working relationships with marketing, research and production teams.
•Able to interface with all levels of management and at multiple levels within a customer organization
•Self-starter with strong leadership skills and ability to manage multiple projects
•Excellent planning, organization and prioritization skills
•Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
•Strong interpersonal and meeting facilitation skills required to lead and manage all team members, internal and external clients, vendors, and meetings
•In-depth knowledge of industry best practices for new product development.

Experience & Other Requirements:

EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

•Ideally, the candidate will have an undergraduate degree in Engineering, Finance or other technical discipline. An MBA is a plus.
•Certified Program Management is a plus.
•3-5 years experience as a Project Manager for the definition, design and development of new products, preferably in the consumer products industry, with 5-7 years of professional work experience.
•Proven and effective project management and business process redesign experience
•Proficiency in technology (including but not limited to browsers and the Microsoft Office suite: PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook and Project)
