INVENTORY CONTROL MANAGER will provide financial-related analysis including warehousing, materials management, continuous improvement and purchasing.
Essential Duties:
Inventory Manager focuses on four key themes: material master, physical verification, inventory levels—best practices and metrics / reporting.
Material Master:•Manage the assignment of materials for all categories of inventory
•Facilitate the reduction of SKUs for inventory across the network
Physical verification:
•Responsible for the policies, procedures, establishing standards and accuracy of all inventories in the company
•Reconcile inventories and coordinate annual physical inventory procedures
•Plan and implement a recovery program to ensure all defective product is accounted for & handled properly
•Communicate applicable inventory concerns
•Proactively monitors key indicators, communicates and resolves problems preventing significant negative financial surprises. Ensures all weekly and monthly reports are delivered accurately and on time
Inventory levels – best practices
•Develop actionable project plans to enable inventory reduction
•Support warehouse optimization effort
•Develop and implement process & system improvements related to account reconciliation activities.
•Create efficient and accurate inventory management procedures. Assessment of procedures conducted to drive continues improvement and maintain best in class status
Metrics / reporting / support
•Manage month-end close process to accurately report inventory to financial statements
•Provide presentations on materials management
•Support end users at distribution centers
•Perform other duties and functions as appropriate
•Develop and establish loss prevention policies and procedures
•Strategy Development/Planning Partner with functional and operating business partners to drive overall business specific strategies. Key strategic themes focus on delivering consistent, repeatable processes to optimize inventory position, profit enhancement, managing risk and operating effectiveness

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; with four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. CPA/MBA preferred but not required.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume, and depreciation. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Skills
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have at least intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Access. Knowledge in Oracle and Hyperion a plus.
