Financial Planning Analyst-- Lexington, KY

Job Description:

Our ideal candidate would be an expert in Excel Modeling, have experience with Hyperion and want to work at the Corporate Headquarters of a billion dollar company.

Financial & Operational Analysis
Perform detailed analyses to identify, analyze, understand, and monitor the Company’s key performance indicators; focusing on operational efficiency
Evaluate the daily manufacturing metrics to ensure favorable results to plan by month-end.
Effectively work with other functional departmental heads to ensure that their departmental expenses will not exceed monthly budgeted targets.
Assist in the pricing evaluation process to ensure favorable pricing results.
Proactively assist in developing projects to identify opportunities for cost savings / profit enhancement and efficiency improvement throughout the Company.
Assist in the preparation of monthly & quarterly management reporting package.

Budget & Forecasting Process
Support the ongoing maintenance and evolution of the budgeting and planning processes, including compiling and reporting results, and understanding / explaining points of variance.
Assist in the preparation of the “bottom-up” annual budget from the P&L to the Balance Sheet and Cash Flows.
Assist in rolling the monthly forecast from “bottom-up”.

Experience & Other Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
A minimum of 2 years of recent experience.
Strong technical knowledge of building the P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flows from bottom up.
Weekly/Monthly “bottom-up” operational forecasting
