Tempur Production located in Albuquerque, New Mexico has an immediate opening at our state of the art manufacturing facility for a Chemical Process Engineer.
This position drives process and product improvements involving Flexible Polyurethane Foaming Equipment for existing products, provides engineering support to chemical supplies, drives variability reduction of product and provides technical support to production.
Must understand process flow and have working knowledge of motors, pumps, valves and computer controlled processes. Ability to drive product cost and quality improvements and variability reduction are key to this position.
Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering and 3 to 5 years of manufacturing experience are preferred. 3+ years of flexible slabstock manufacturing experience including process and formulation responsibilities is highly desirable. Candidate must be willing to work as a team member in a “hands on” production environment.
