no problems

"We have had the tempurpedic king cloud supreme for two years, we got the foundation at the time of purchasing the mattress. We are not small people by any means, my husband it 6'5" 300lbs and I am 200lbs. We've never had a problem with the bed or foundation, We sleep on every night. I don't find it squeaking or sliding. My husband was a flopper on the old mattress and would wake me up 3 or 4 times a night by his movement. No more and a don't feel him getting at of bed and I am a very light sleeper. Between my parents and my sisters, we own 7 of these beds, and never have they had problems either."

LOUD-SQUEAKY-POOR QUALITY!

"THEIR COMMERCIALS ABOUT THESE BEDS SAYS GETTING IN OR OUT OF IT WILL NOT DISTURB YOUR PARTNER! HA... MAYBE NOT IF THEY ARE DEAD! THIS FOUNDATION IS PUT TOGETHER WITH THIN WOOD STICKS (may not be solid wood?) OURS IS SLIDING APART KIND OF LIKE PUSHING ON AN EMPTY CRACKER BOX. VERY LOUD SQUEAKS AND GROWLS JUST TO MAKE THE BED. YOU DON'T HAVE TO APPLY VERY MUCH PRESSURE TO THE BED TO MAKE THE NOISE. ITS TERRIBLE AND I CAN'T FIND OUR RECEIPT SO I'M JUST STUCK WITH IT! :-( "

Don't cheap out!!!

"Listen. I'm cheap. I'll admit it. Sticking with my previous foundation seemed like a decent way to save a buck, even if I was told repeatedly that the Tempurpedic foundation was essential. At first I thought I had made the right move, the bed was sleeping wonderfully and I had saved a few dollars. After a few weeks, though, my previous foundation started giving out. Even though it was wood not spring, and had a solid top, the weight of the bed was just too much for it. It started to creak like crazy, and then ultimately it affected the way the bed slept. These beds are heavy (150-300 lbs. depending on the model you get), and certain box springs are just not built for that weight. I admitted my mistake and purchased the Tempurpedic foundation. It is completely solid. The bed sleeps wonderfully again (yes...I can actually tell the difference in comfort just from a foundation), and it does not squeak or creak. Don't be cheap like me...do it right....you won't be disappointed. "

Foundations, Customer Service are JUNK

"Bought TWO Cal King Tempurpedic beds with foundations and frames while stationed in Hawaii. Within a few months our main bed foundation began to squeak whenever either of us moved. Most prevalent around the edges. Contacted dealer and they sent replacement foundation for bed 1. Told that many sets had been replaced due to a manufacturing defect. After a few months, the REPLACEMENT foundation also began to squeak like the first. Contacted dealer again, told that the new set was probably from the same manufacturing lot. Also told that to get a second replacement I would have to pay for shipping. To Hawaii. Told them where to stick their foundation. Swapped foundations with guest bed. Transferred to Alabama. Now second bed foundation also squeaking. Badly. Contacted local dealer, told I was out of luck because I bought it out of state. SO, I now have $6,000 worth of beds that squeak loud enough to wake sleeping partner should you dare move. Sent email to Tempurpedic customer service. No response. Next stop BBB. Stay tuned. "

"Cannot recommend at this juncture, here is why; My experience after one week is mixed. I do not think I was given enough info by the salesperson to have a choice of the mattress for me. I ended up with a bed I am not really sure I would pick again. The high profile box spring is no more than some wood box with a covering, had I known there was a low profile, I would have chosen that, and moreover, probably the two piece and perhaps a step up in mattress. To this day I am not sure exactly what mattress I actually did receive (even though it was a display model) and whether it was the best match, now I feel stuck with the thing for the rest of my life, a shame really. Is the mattress comfy? Yes, its different, but given the education I didn't get from the sales person, I'm not positive."

"It lasted 10 years then a few of the wood slats broke. I also wish it was not so slippery. The mattress tends to slide off the foundation easily, I have to re-set it every morning when I make the bed."

"Comfort is not an issue. Noise is the problem. The foundations are so cheaply made, that within a few months of use, the edge of the foundation makes such a horrible noise when applying any pressure to it that it even wakes you up when rolling over. (wood rubbing against wood noise) And this is the second set we have tried from Tempurpedic. Unless they change the constuction/design, I would not recommend this foundation."

"Terrible! We had only had our Tempur-Pedic set for a few months when the foundation snapped. My husband laid on the bed and all of the sudden SNAP! At least three of the tiny little boards had completely come off. Now we have to wait 2 weeks before someone can even come look at it. It is Not worth the money. I had a tree fall on my old bed and the crappy box springs held up and is still in use. And this one couldn't hold up to my husband...(who is not large)"

"I have to be honest. We have tried two versions of these, the regular and the low profile. In each, we've had the bottom support struts pop out. These are the wood pieces going across the bottom of the units (side to side). At first, I thought our bed frame could be contributing to it (for example, the frame not providing sufficient support), but our bed has 4 supports going from side to side. When the delivery guys came out to replace it, I popped my head in the truck, and it was literally full of similarly defective, returned foundations. I understand tempurpedic's fix is some sort of metal frame to help support these foundations. I'm just disappointed in something that costs as much as this does, having such a defect. I understand the odd occurrence, but if you saw the delivery truck, you'd understand it's a defect in engineering / design. Do yourself a favor and request metal support from the start. It will save you inconvenience of having to schedule multiple return appointments with the delivery guys. "

"I have had 5 foundations and 3 mattresses and I will be on my 6th foundation when I get time to deal with it. All foundations have had loose braces which would cause the mattress to sag. First foundation you could feel where the screw did not catch the brace to hold it up. I have refused two foundations due to shipping damage and factory fault. I was told by a CSR that since I have had so much trouble with them I should request the better foundation but was told by another CSR there was no other foundation available but see on this site that there is. I give this foundation a 1 because I have nothing but trouble out of all of them. Quality is poor and does not meet expectations. Definitely not worth the price. Love the mattress but without a good foundation it will not last."

"Not much to say about the foundation, it is just a foundation. I'm sure it does make the mattress more comfortable. Was kinda disappointed in the fact that we couldn't seem to get one delivered that didn't have big rips in the backing fabric. I know that isn't all that important but for so much money I don't want to accept damaged products. It is just a few thin peices of wood and some fabric. Not sure why it costs so much."

"We purchased a TEMPUR-Cloud Luxe back in April. We decided not to purchase the foundation due to cost (at the time $500.00 for a king) and we figured our regular box springs would work just fine. WERE WE EVER WRONG! The foundation made the biggest difference ever. When we first got the bed, my husband really didn't care for it, he didn't feel it lived up to the hype that these beds get. After having the bed for about a month, we ended up buying the foundation when Tempurpedic reduced the cost to $300.00. What a difference... The first night we had the foundations it was like getting a whole new bed all over again. We never realized we weren't getting the full "mold" of the bed due to the regular box springs not being able to not only support the heaviness of the mattress (which is HEAVY), but of our added weight as well. The foundations enhance the quality of the bed. AND, I would like to add, these are not cheap foundations, they are solid wood, and worth the money. I agree with the other person that made a previous review when he said he felt it would extend the life of your mattress. Please take our word for it, You MUST buy the whole set. Don't be cheap like we were! :)"

"I gave it 1 star in comfort because - lets be honest here - if you were to sleep on the foundation alone, OUCH! now if you were to put a bed on top of it, Ahhhh... much better! Also, with "Sleep quality" - I'm not so sure the foundation alone has made a huge difference in quality of sleep, but I am VERY confident that buying this foundation will make the mattress last a lot longer. It doesn't have any dents/bumps in it like my box spring did so I'm sure it'll make the bed last a long, long time. Even if you think your foundation is fine, if you want your new bed to last for it's price, you really should get the foundation to go with it. And the frame too (I did)."
