"Not much to say about the foundation, it is just a foundation. I'm sure it does make the mattress more comfortable. Was kinda disappointed in the fact that we couldn't seem to get one delivered that didn't have big rips in the backing fabric. I know that isn't all that important but for so much money I don't want to accept damaged products. It is just a few thin peices of wood and some fabric. Not sure why it costs so much."

"We purchased a TEMPUR-Cloud Luxe back in April. We decided not to purchase the foundation due to cost (at the time $500.00 for a king) and we figured our regular box springs would work just fine. WERE WE EVER WRONG! The foundation made the biggest difference ever. When we first got the bed, my husband really didn't care for it, he didn't feel it lived up to the hype that these beds get. After having the bed for about a month, we ended up buying the foundation when Tempurpedic reduced the cost to $300.00. What a difference... The first night we had the foundations it was like getting a whole new bed all over again. We never realized we weren't getting the full "mold" of the bed due to the regular box springs not being able to not only support the heaviness of the mattress (which is HEAVY), but of our added weight as well. The foundations enhance the quality of the bed. AND, I would like to add, these are not cheap foundations, they are solid wood, and worth the money. I agree with the other person that made a previous review when he said he felt it would extend the life of your mattress. Please take our word for it, You MUST buy the whole set. Don't be cheap like we were! :)"

"I gave it 1 star in comfort because - lets be honest here - if you were to sleep on the foundation alone, OUCH! now if you were to put a bed on top of it, Ahhhh... much better! Also, with "Sleep quality" - I'm not so sure the foundation alone has made a huge difference in quality of sleep, but I am VERY confident that buying this foundation will make the mattress last a lot longer. It doesn't have any dents/bumps in it like my box spring did so I'm sure it'll make the bed last a long, long time. Even if you think your foundation is fine, if you want your new bed to last for it's price, you really should get the foundation to go with it. And the frame too (I did)."
