these arent pillows

"I am 6'3" 280lb muscular/athletic build. The Rhapsody bed is amazing for me, but my head isn't 280 and no matter how hard I push my head into the pillow the pillow pushes it back up, higher than it should be, putting my neck at an awful angle that has me in pain when I wake. And as for my girlfriend (5'6" 114), ha, she has to put her entire upper body onto it to compress it all. I cant believe I waited a year before buying new pillows. Now, if you were considering getting an ergo-bed save yourself the 3500 and get a pair of these, they are perfect for holding you up off of the bed high enough to watch TV all night. "

Did not last longer than warranty

"After almost 3 years, today I contacted Tempurpedic about my Rhapsody pillows. Both mine and my husband's pillows have gotten terribly lumpy in the past few months. Before that they were good pillows. I am waking with neck pain every day. I hope to buy a different Tempurpedic pillow, but am hoping even more that these are covered by warranty. I never expected them to be practically timed to the warranty running out! Planned obsolescence I guess. "

Awesome!

"After a few weeks of your head and neck getting used to this pillow, it is awesome!! It is dense and soft at the same time, very thick and heavy. Very good quality. I went ahead and opted for the king size and I didn't regret it. Have the rhapsody mattress as well. So far this is my favorite pillow. We also have the cloud pillow and the neck pillows."

Not the same as the one in the store

"We loved this pillow in bloomingdales but when we got our new ones they were like sleeping on a log or a sack of potatoes. Too bulky. Too large. Couldn't sleep on it for more than a night and a half. I'm sure it will flatten with time but there is no way we could use it for months until it soften and flatten. Smells bad too even after 2 weeks of airing it out before using it. "

Would Buy Another!

"I was a little hesitant to pay this much for a pillow. I am SO glad I did. Best pillow I ever owned. Is a little bit firm but gives when I lay my head down. Some of the reviews say it hurts your neck but I did not find that at all. Am thinking about buying another as a gift."

Love the Rhapsody

"Just bought the Rhapsody Pillows a week ago and the mattress came yesterday. Love them! Pillows were a little hard for a couple of days ( sales lady already told us it would take a few days), but now- I love them. Can't wait to buy a large body pillow. The mattress is wonderful! We sleep 1/3 of our lives and we need to be comfortable and get a good nights sleep to function well the other 2/3 of our lives."

"My fiance and I purchased 2 Rhapsody pillows during the "Buy 2 get 1 free" promotion. We have two Tempurpedic beds - and these pillows were purchased for our Rhapsody bed. I couldn't agree with Theodore from CA more. They are too big, and although they are of high quality, they are not comfortable. I like sleeping on my side, with my arm underneath the pillow. Each morning for the past two weeks, I have woke up with sore upper arms, neck, and back. Disappointed. "

"I've been in pillow purgatory for some time and had great hopes for this pillow. Those hopes were dashed. I have given it a few months now and find that previous pains in the neck are replaced with new ones. This pillow is extremely hard and stays that way regardless how much fluffing is done to soften it. I'm certain it is perfect for some but my search will continue. Given the price of this pillow, however, I will not donate it to the dog. "

"I have owned the RhapsodyBed for over three years now and love it. So I decided to take the plunge and recently purchased two king-sized RhapsodyPillows to match. The pillows are of the same quality as the bed, with conforming material surrounded by a contrasting pillow cover. I was excited when they arrived. Unfortunately, these pillows are exceptionally thick, hard, and heavy. No matter how I slept on this pillow (side or back), my neck was at an extreme angle -– my head just wouldn’t sink into the pillow. I tried these pillows for almost two weeks, but couldn't sleep comfortably and I eventually started to have morning back pain. They are just too big for comfort! Rhapsody’s return policy prohibits the return of pillows, which I sadly learned after purchase. So while I suppose I could use these pillows while reading or watching TV in bed, I certainly cannot use them for a good-night’s sleep. "

"Hello, I have purchased Rhapsody Pillow from Steinhafels in September of 2011 and was very excited to finally get some sleep. Needless to say the pillow was non refundable. So, first few days were nice. And then I noticed that I started to develop quite serious neck pain. I didn't pay attention to it since I thought maybe its from something else. The neck pain did not go away. The when I was out of town, my wife tried this pillow and while she was getting very good sleep on this pillow, after a few days she did also develop a neck pain and quite serious discomfort. So, needless to say, as soon as we put this pillow in the closet and went back to traditional goose down pillow, all injuries disappeared and now we have a $200.00 pillow sitting in our closet because we can't do anything with it. Sales person from the store did mention about the endorsement from Orthopaedic Association and i am wondering what it took to get this endorsement. My chiropractor loved hearing this. I hope someone pays attention to this. Regards, Lev"

"I had a knock- off tempurpedic neck pillow that was loosing its support and causing restless nights and severe neck pain. I figured I'd finally cave and spend the money for a true tempurpedic pillow. Because of the amount of pain my neck was in I wanted the best. While all the pillows on this site have great reviews this pillow had 5 stars by everyone in all categories, so I figured this was my best shot. It is a large pillow and took a night or two to get use to the height and feel of the pillow. But I have never slept better on this pillow! It is amazing, I feel great and literally can't wait to lay my head down at night. It is worth every single penny! I got the king size so the only down fall is its not the easiest to travel with, and trust me you'll never want to be without it."

"I love the firmness of this pillow but the chemical smell, even after a month in the open air, prohibits me from sleeping directly on the pillow. While the instructions with the pillow warned of the smell, I assumed it would go away with time. It has been 30 days and it is still the same. I have to use a feather pillow on top to buffer me from the pillow to get a good nights sleep. I am glad I only purchased one to try and not two. "

"This was a birthday gift, along with a body pillow, from my husband. I have Fibromylagia and we sleep on a tempurpedic mattress and also own several other tempurpedic pillows. This one is wonderful and it allows for great, restful sleep. highly recommend...worth every penny."

"This pillow smelled something terrible. I tried it for 2 nights thinking perhaps it was the packaging, etc. (though the interior packaging seemed like it was previously used). Even my 6 year old granddaughter commented about the smell. Back it goes. I would not reorder....seems like the pillow may have been wet or previously used."

"Pillows are too large for comfort. I would like to return for a credit if possible. These pillows were not available at the dealer when I purchased the Cloud Supreme. I can see why now."

"I purchased a Rhapsody bed and really like it but the Rhapsody pillow is another story. The pillow is expensive, heavy and hard as a rock. There is nothing you can do to make it softer. It is impossible to sleep on and causes severe shoulder and neck pain. We visited a Relax The Back store and they advised me that no one should try to sleep on this pillow. They said the only reason someone would buy this pillow is for esthetic reasons. If you are considering purchasing this pillow I recommend you visit a store where you can try before you buy."

"I am a chiropractor, and I tried the rhapsody... This is the best pillow I have ever owned! My husband tried it and now he is getting one, and both my children under 6 years old want it too after trying mine! So everyone in the house will be using them! I slept one night without it, and my neck hurt so much. I am going to recommend this pillow to all my patients! You can't put a price on a good sleep! It is a bit pricey, but honestly you can't "

"ok so i bought a Rhapsody Matt, and two of these pillows.. OH EM GEE, amazing! over 1 year it has no sign of use, each time i get up it instantly returns to its shape.. but more than ne other pillow it slowly conforms to my neck and head when i lie down..yes it feels firm but its actually sinking in lower for ur heavier head and supporting ur neck instead of normal pillows that just sink in.. its truly correct form! goes best with a rhap. matt. go in2 a big mattress store TRY THIS on the rhapsody mattress.. LOVE IT! "
