NOT WATER RESISTANT

"Do not buy this is you think it will stop water/liquids. It doesn't -- even in the slightest. All the fluids soaked through the bed protector. This is unfortunate since you pay for an item that doesn't work, to protect a $4,000 plus bed. The mattress is wonderful but this so called mattress protector is CRAP!"

The cover is a nightmare

"We purchased the Tempur-pedic mattress cover 15 months ago and I am taking it off today. It has never stayed tucked under the mattress, the top wrinkles and I can't make up the bed neatly without retucking the mattress cover every day. We like the mattress, but after reading a couple of the reviews, I realize it is not just me, but the product which is bad. "

DO NOT LIKE

"Hate this pad. It does not fit the mattress very well. Our mattress is a 10in., and the pad bunches up. I constantly have to try pulling and straightening every day after sleeping on it. I even bought some things to help, and it still continues to bunch up. Does not work on the 8 or 10 inch matress. Does not leave a nice smooth look under the sheets. Need to sell a different pad for the thinner mattresses."

Hate this cover!

"I work very hard to make sure the mattress protector is tucked in snugly before putting on my sheets. By morning, the cover is bunched up and wrinkled, and the sheets are bunched up and wrinkled in the exact same place. If I take the protector off, my sheets stay in place much better. However; I am afraid to not have the protector on because my husband is on blood thinner, and I'm always afraid that he will get blood on the mattress. Surely there is a better answer than this pad. I hate it!!!!"

Love the bed hate the pad

"Try living in the desert of Arizona while sleeping on a heated matress. That is what this thing will do for you. My wife and I have fans running in our room, reduced the temperature in the house by 5 degrees and we still cook on this thing. The Bed is great, and I guess if you lived in an igloo the pad would be too. Do not buy it, do not use it if it is given to you, and punch the person in the nose if they try to make you sleep on it."

"Start buying "Deep Pocket Sheets" and u will never have the problem of your fitted sheets slipping over anything ever again. It's been the answer to my prayers with fitted sheets and them slipping and having to sleep with whatever it is I have underneath them. No more sweaty nights."

Disappointed

"I purchased this protector to replace a Tempurpedic one I had that got damaged in moving. My previous protector from you had a protective bottom layer w/a terry cloth top...This one has a very plastic feel, HOT, slippery and noisy. I am so disappointed as my last one was GREAT. I feel I spent a $100 for a sad purchase. If I could have returned it I would have before even taking it out of the plastic shelf cover. Sorry as much as I LOVE the mattress, this product is not a good value for me."

Has lasted for years.

"After many, many years of use our mattress protectors are starting to shred at the seams. I have no idea what these reviewers are sleeping on but it sure doesn't sound like this product. Speaking of sound, there isn't any, nor does it feel like a "trashbag". I have a seizure disorder and have lost bladder control a few times and it has never leaked through to the mattress. I am now hoping that this product hasn't had a drastic change in quality since the last time I bought it. I do think they are very expensive. Considering that you must have it and the Tempurpedic folks know that, they seem to charge alot more than it could possibly cost to manufacture it! I will need a split king and it is beyond me why that costs approx. $60 more than a regular king. It is basically the same amt. of fabric, why the big difference in price to split it in half? $20-$25 more would seem more like it to me. In the end, I love my bed so I will put the money out and shut up."

Disappointed in performance

"The mattress protector, that we were told was required use to uphold the warranty, is a huge disappointment. Every morning the sheets are a wrinkled mess with the fitted sheet usually off in one of the corners. It seems with such a great mattress product your designers can come up with something that is of the quality and integrety of the mattress."

Getting rid of this thing

"If I hadn't received this for free with the mattress purchase, I would never buy it. Who worked on the fit of this thing? It does not fit my king-size bed whatsoever, too big. Sheets slide all over the place on it and end up bunched up underneath me. And I thought maybe I was experiencing early menopause or something because I would end up sweating at night because the material just radiates your body heat right back at you. Worst thing ever."

Waterproof pad not waterproof

"I purchased this product specifically knowing I had three children under five and I wasn't interested in ruining my fantastic mattress. However, last night my two year old peed in my bed...through the blanket, sheets, waterproof mattress pad, and Temperpedic cover. If you purchase a product specifically to avoid this, shouldn't it? Very disappointed!"

Poor Fit

"I bought my Tempurpedic in 2007 and I love the mattress, but the cover they gave me doesn't even come close to fitting properly. I have the 10" mattress and the cover would easily fit a 14" mattress. I hangs over about 4" and slides all over the place because it is too big. I love the idea of it being waterproof but that is all. Calls to Tempurpedic got me nowhere so I sleep on sheets that move with the cover....all over the place."

"I would not recommend this product. Firstly, the sheets slip off. Secondly, it does not breath well and I wake up every night sweating. Unfortunately, I purchased this from Sleepy's when we purchased the mattress and they do not take back opened merchandise. I would recommend purchasing a pad from another store that accepts returns."

"I purchased my king size tempurpedic and "waterproof" mattress protector 2.5 years ago. I made sure I got the mattress cover cause I was pregnant and knew at some point a little one would be sleeping in my bed. my 2 yr old daughter has been potty training recently and had an accident on our bed. It went through the sheet, mattress protector and the cover that is on the actual tempurpedic mattress, which is not fun taking off and putting back on, especially at 1am! i never saw anything about the mattress protector only lasting a specific amount of time and I followed all washing instructions"

"As a 10 year owner of a Tempur-Pedic mattress, I had a hard time making a decision whether or not to purchase Tempur-Pedic's Mattress Protector. The reviews I read varied dramatically, but after purchasing my 2nd Tempur-Pedic mattress, I decided I should buy the mattress protector for my new mattress. The addition of the mattress protector changed my sleep experience from fantastic to horrible. The comfort level went from perfect to feeling as if I wasn't sleeping on the same mattress. The change in my sleep quality was just as dramatic. The fit is not that bad, but the mattress protector causes my fitted sheet to accumulate on the sleep surface. The feel and the sound of the mattress protector under the fitted sheet is the primary problem. My sateen cotten sheets no longer sleep like a dream. The sound of the waterproof backing material is overbearing (and yes, I have it installed correctly). After a weeks worth of bad sleep, I removed the Tempur-Pedic mattress protector. Last night I slept wonderfully. For those of you that require a mattress protector due to health issues, pets, or children that could possibly wet the bed, I would suggest trying other brands of mattress protectors. In closing, I think it is a shame that Tempur-Pedic put their name and reputation on such a poor product. "

"Wouldn't buy this protector! Buyer beware! I purchased my king matreess and protector from a certified tempur-pedic dealer. My daughter had an accident on our bed and it leaked through. I contacted GBS Enterprises the company that makes the protector. They tested my protecter and said that it was a defective mattress pad. They sent me a new protector and had a new mattress devlivered. Fast forward a couple months later my puppy hops on the bed and pees on the bed and it leakes through. I contact GBS and mail away the old procter they say it is also defective ( what are the chances) but they are under no obligation to replace my bed cause they have already did it once. I say what the heck your protector failed and now my mattress is ruined they say not there problem. So I am out a bed!!! I am ticked beyond words. So beacause of there crappy product I have to purchase a new bed! ( since you can't clean a tempur-pedic) So therefore I wouldn't purchase this product or a tempur-pedic bed again! I make sure to tell anyone who is in the market for a new bed my story. I just feel for the cost of my bed it should be replaced every time there product fails! So I am sad to leave tempur-pedic cause I did love the bed itself but GBS is horrible! I just want to let people know it can happen to you and you get left with a ruined mattress and out thousands of dollars! So I will personally never recommened a tempur-pedic or be doing business with them again."

"The mattress protector fits fine, washes well and does not interfere with the comfort of the mattress. The problem is that urine soaked through it TWICE. The only reason to buy the mattress protector is to protect the mattress. It is expensive and doesn't work. Don't bother."

"I read through the good and bad reviews and thought "Let me see for myself". We had purchased another protector at the store where we got our Cloud Supreme and it had this very "silky" feel that made the mattress a tad more firm so I thought the Tempur-pedic one would not only protect our new investment but would be made for it so it had to feel better right? Wrong. I am taking it off today and going back to the other one. The positives: It fits well, it is thin, and it is easy to take one and off for future washings. The negatives: It is crinkly and feels like I have a waterproof cover on it. Not the feel I like. The protection wasn't tested since we only had it on one night but I can say that I will only use it as a last resort when our other cover is in the wash. Also, since it was not offered at the store where we got our mattress and not purchased on the same ticket the warranty wouldn't be in effect anyway. No returns either so money wasted which is a shame since in the past month we have purchased two pair of slippers, four pillows, a body pillow and our King Cloud Supreme bed .... we love all the other products but this and the pillow protector were a disappointment."

"Comfort/Sleep quality: horrible. This pad has a plastic bag-like material that makes a crunching sound whenever you move, even a slight movement. Value: horrible. I bought the queen size for my 10" queen size tempur pedic bed and it is way too big. It's almost like they made it to fit over the mattress and half of another one. This did not even come close to meeting my expectations as I was only looking for something that was close to the zipper cover that came with my bed. And if you want to return it? Good Luck! I only recommend this bed if you are a bed wetter or like to sleep in a pool of your own sweat."

"I got the mattress protector for my celebrity bed, and I was not so sure if it would be good for the bed as my husband when I and he make love I was so concern for the sex juice and that the mattress would get wet. Well thankfully, when my husband does he thing, the bed don't get wet or stained. I love my tempurpeda pad."
